Robbing a store can now be as simple as using your SMS texting feature. Looks like Mr. Sean Harrington is a trail blazer for the new technique, having been caught filling SMS texting stolen orders valued over $500. Mr. Harrington was arrested in Louisburg, Kentucky on May 23rd with merchandise from Rack Room Shoes and Marshalls. As the police searched his belongings, they saw several phone text messages from people requesting he steal merchandise for them as well. Texting is so commonplace that it wouldn cause any suspicion as a mode of communication between thief and buyer. Sounds like the beginning of a grand text crime ring! Although using text messaging to receive orders for stealing is new; stuffing the merchandise down his pants is an old method of ripping off a store. According to the police and store representatives, Mr. Harrington stole shoes from Rack Room Shoes by placing the shoe boxes down the front of his pants.
