Tennis shoes are made up of very flexible material and rubber sole are used to give ultimate comfort. Costly and branded tennis shoes are available in different shapes for different types of users. Moreover, you can still opt for custom made tennis shoes in case you are not able to find your right shoe size or shape. Shoe manufacturers have always tried to make suitable changes keeping in view of the changing time and the choice of users. Choosing a right pair of tennis shoes can be a tricky affair. However with right guidance as described below, the job of choosing perfect tennis shoes will be a lot easier. Do not go in only for brand names and looks. Looks do not matter as long as the shoe serves your purpose and though brand name has some worth, they should not be the sole criterion to choose a tennis shoe. You should give more consideration to its functionality. Choose tennis shoes according to your foot type. The foot should fit comfortably without any stretching. Many people overlook to check the robustness of the heel box. A heel box is the part of the tennis shoes that covers the heel of your feet and keeps your feet in control while playing. Ideally the heel box should be made of leather with some rubber or plastic as support. To see the resistance of your heel box, you can try squeezing or bending it over. For sports persons, it is a good idea to take your doctors and coach s suggestions while buying tennis shoes. Flexibility is an important aspect to look at while choosing tennis shoes. The ideal shoes should bend easily. In addition, tennis shoes should have cushioning and shock absorption quality. It helps while playing tennis on hard courts. Watch out for the air max unit in the heel area of your tennis shoes. The air max unit provides great protection to your feet especially on hard court surface. Checking the outsole and toe guard of the tennis shoes is important as they ensure durability of the shoes. The upper part of the shoes covers the fore and mid foot and saves you from any unforeseen injury. Hence ultimate care should be given to see if your feet fit comfortably in the upper region. It is a good idea to replace your worn out tennis shoes with a new one to save you from unwanted injuries. Many popular brands today manufacture tennis shoes customised to mens and womens category. Because of their difference in physique, women sports players need shoes with extra comfort and cushioning and sports manufactures make shoes exclusively meant for women tennis players. Also for different surfaces, different types of tennis shoes are available. Like the structural and material design of them meant for playing on clay court surface are different than that of shoes meant for playing on hard court surface. Sports companies also hire top tennis and other sports persons to merchandise their products. However, comfort rather than brand should be the first priority while buying tennis shoes..

OK, now that's just ridiculous. Look at them! Carrying cameras around like little feathered tourists. But those are in fact military surveillance pigeons, and yes, they really existed. It was kind of a good idea, if you think about it aerial photos of enemy trench lines were highly sought after, but newfangled surveillance planes were just starting to be introduced (prior to World War I, if you wanted aerial surveillance, you did it using vulnerable hot air balloons and kites). Then along came Dr. Julius Neubronner with his patented miniature pigeon camera. Neubronner's specially trained pigeons could be carried into battle in a customized mobile dovecote and then strapped into camera vests like the one seen above. When released, they were able to take a series of highly detailed photographs of the layout of enemy lines before returning to their roost and dropping off their film to be developed for HQ. "Sir, is there a reason half our missions are near that all girls college?" These avian reconnoiterers saw some decent action alongside German forces during the war, judging by all the cartoonishly exploded pigeons . Sadly, though, when he inquired about further developing the technology after the war, the War Ministry told Neubronner to "fuck off with that pigeon bullshit" (loosely translated from the original German). And just as depressing as that sentence . 4. Doggy Gas MasksThroughout the history of warfare, opposing forces have sprayed some particularly nasty shit all over each other. So gas masks have long been a universal piece of equipment for our human soldiers, but what about their best friends? Don't worry, Fido, because we thought of you, too! Pre Geneva Protocol pooches had nothing to fear once their human companions forced them to strap one of these babies onto their little doggie craniums. Except for, you know, all the bullets and explosions and stuff. Ha! Look at that guy riding his tiny little clown bike back there! How could you even bring yourself to shoot that guy? During World War II, the British Special Operations Executive was always looking for ways to pull a James Bond on their SS rivals. One thing that added difficulty to their espionaging was providing their soldiers with mobility once they dropped them behind enemy lines to get their spy on the logistics of dropping everything out of airplanes meant that there were severe size and weight restraints. So engineers worked hand in hand with Barnum Bailey to develop these adorable wittle motorcycles. The Welbike featured a single cylinder engine and a collapsible design that allowed it to be packed into an airdrop container and chucked out over enemy territory for retrieval by special forces operatives, with just enough space left over to cram the size 28 shoes and giant red Afro wig in there. 2. Wind TunnelsNote the tiny little engineers at the bottom. That's not a model airplane up there. Before computers, the only way to make sure that a new fighter plane didn't fall apart right as you were dogfighting over a cactus patch was to hang it up and expose it to the wind. Sure, you could build a model and put it in a tiny wind tunnel, but damn it, nothing beats going full scale. That's a German facility above, but the Americans were also in the big wind game with this facility at Langley Field near Hampton, Virginia, that tested everything from World War II fighters to space capsules: Are you picturing them reversing the fan and sucking that guy into it? 1. Nazis Just Wanna Have FunThe Nazis made for such perfect villains that we tend to forget that their military was largely made up of kids who were conscripted to serve their country, just like the armies that were fighting them. And like all soldiers, they liked to occasionally take time out and make a big sign with their butts. Screen goes to black, monitor goes to power save, or it freezes completely with a sound loop. One of those is the same fate everytime after random amounts of time. I have tried everything from 3.07 to 3.10 drivers from ati, returning it because ATI thought it was defective, same problem with the new card. Took out one stick of ram, and it actually ran longer. I got to play like 10 minutes or finish a misison here and there, then it would freeze. I began thinking it was voltage with ram, so I upped that in BIOS, put in both sticks again, same problem. I took off AGP 8x and set it to 4x at the suggestion of someone off of the techtv message boards. I also disabled fast writes, took off AA and AF. Same problems, but at least it was running a little longer. I've done all the drivers I can find for ATI, updated the BIOS, installed nforce drivers (not sure what the date is) At this point Im lost. I don't know what to do. How to fix it. Etc I ran Team Fortress Classic in OpenGL in a window so that I could keep my ASUS monitor utility up to keep an eye on the temp in case it was an overheating issue. I've got four 80mm Coolermaster fans in the case, the power supply has fan in back and on bottom, cpu has fan, vid card has fan, so the CPU temp was 42C idle (like 108) and maybe 46C (maybe 122 125) while playing under a full load. Memory usage wasnt the issue either I dont think because I still havd at least 60% of my physical memory free. However I dont have a program/way to monitor the temperature of the video card. Is there such a monster? Does anybody have any suggestions/tips/programs/links/etc to help me out? You guys are my last hope. >> Re: Radeon 9800 Pro = Won't run openGL or Direct3D for me Have to agree with caleb. Had a computer that i built returned to me that was locking up during games. It had two sticks of ddr ram. It played fine for 10 20 minutes then it would lock up. Open gl and d3d. Long story short, it was a dodgy stick. Removed it and it solved the problem. Even quality ram can fail. Also my 9800pro was fussy if i didn't install the drivers in order. Installed xp pro including sp1 and all latest updates inc DX9. Then the via chipset drivers 4 48 and finally ati catalyst 3 9 or 3,10. Then it worked and also a certain game wouldn't work until i turned the agp apperature size down to 64mb. Hardware and software don't always gel. Hope this helps. >> Re: Radeon 9800 Pro = Won't run openGL or Direct3D for me i have just installed a prophet 9200se 128 from a tnt32 and i get a similiar sort of thing during game play i get a king of very fast scroll affect as if the card cant keep up with the game and i allso find that im in a different place cos the game has carried on but not the gcard none of this happened with the good old 32,, iether the product of ati are a load of old tosh or my configs are far out but if this is the case why have configs that cause so much displacent. C was closing down after about 10 minutes, and so was max Payne 2. Tried all new drivers, Flashed my BIOS, turned Fastwrite and AGP 8x off. Still didn't work. So, last night I had another look at the Histech manual for the graphics card. They supply a power cable with three connectors. They say to plug one end into the PSU with nothing else coming off that connector. Then the other two should go into the HDD and Graphics card. I re jigged my power cables. and Voila no crashes since!!! I have AGP 8x and FastWrite on and all of the settings are right up for high performance. Allso My CPU was overclocked from 2166 Mhz to 2.4ghz. I did this by upping the Multiplier to 14x. When I changed the power cables around, I decided to reduce the multiplier back down to 13x, which is stock. That may allso have fixed the problem! VGA HIS radeon 9800pro ICEQ 128mb (new) I have some problem when I buy my new graphic card. When I played Thief : deadly shadow after 10 minutes it's freeze. 528895 023 Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Infrared 23,Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post before the race, organiser Scot Crandall said: "The only thing better than getting covered from head to toe in colour is knowing it also helps a good cause." Laredo hardly figures into the movie except as an anchor of sorts. But it is also a figurative place apart from its physical presence. It is in addition a well known song and fits well into the whole mythological framework of the Southwest. Its contrast to today's routine decapitations and hangings across the river in Nuevo Laredo is striking. The even pacing and quiet peacefulness of both the movie and its setting is palpable. But it is broken on occasion rudely and contemptuously by Joey Garza (Alexis Cruz). The Winchester 73 might have been the rifle that won the West, but Garza's weapon is a firearm that could conceivably have made the effort not worthwhile. It is outfitted with a telescopic lens so that Garza can shoot from a distance completely concealed. Garza obviously likes to play God. There are reasons, more dramatic than anything else, why he targets whom he does, but the way he guns them down is too cruel not to implicate a very sadistic tendency that cannot be controlled. He probably never felt so good as he did the day he nailed professional bounty hunter Capt. Woodrow F. Call (James Garner). As Call lies flat bleeding into the earth next to his horse, also deliberately shot, Garza rides in for a closer look. Call then becomes the helpless patient of Lorena Parker (Sissy Spacek), who, in addition to being wife, mother, and schoolteacher, must now play the surgeon and amputate an injured leg that threatens to take Call's life. Even without this particularly grisly scene, there is much pain in the movie. It might well have been worse still in reality, but with all the shooting, knifing, and inhumane treatment that made the final cut, most viewers with a penchant for blood should get their fill. The movie crosses the border several times from Ojinaga, Mexico to Presidio, Ft. Stockton, Laredo, and Clarendon, Texas. In between so much space stetches out with mountains and rock and dry earth in abundance that it is difficult not to see it all as a Greek stage upon which heroes and villains act, lament, brag, gesticulate, soliloquize, and orate. Equally hard not to see are the small bastions of civilization that must employ every fiber not to cave in to but prevail upon the wild and amoral forces that lurk about. These include settlements, railroads, and schoolhouses. The courthouse presided over by Judge Roy Bean is an ambiguity partly civilized, partly not. Historically, it is utterly tragic that settlers who came from parts east and north could not accept Indian civilization as such but felt obligated to destroy it. They did this systematically over a long period of time with an unChristian disregard for life on a scale that is still utterly without parallel. Some of what was wiped out is represented by Famous Shoes (Wes Studi). He belongs to a tribe and tradition that does not fight so much as track. He befriends Pea Eye Parker (Sam Shephard), Lorena's husband, in the wilderness. He refers to book reading as a form of tracking and wants to be taught "tracks in books". An opportunity comes about to do just that, but Famous Shoes decides first to go to the Sierra Madre to see the eagles. Attempts have been made with various degrees of success and failure to revive the Western. The fact is, it never died off. It just aged, evolved, and, possibly, mutated. Lonesome Dove was a phenomenal success. Although neither Lonesome Dove nor Streets of Laredo are movies as such they are much longer and, as a result, not as hurried as the norm they can be seen and grasped as though they were. It only takes time, which, curiously, there seems to be more of in the Southwest than in the many other, more established and congested areas of the late 1800s. From these disgruntled citizens packed up, re located, and then carved out town and city niches, many of which still exist inside the wide, rugged expanse. Southwest Film Examiner Carl Richardson spent the better part of his prime in New York City. Among his questionable activities was frequenting all the retro theaters. He not only saw as many old movies as he possibly could but also studied them. He graduated, wrote one book, taught a few classes, and then moved on. Despite the advent of videotape, DVD, and all manner of high tech, he was unable or unwilling to keep up with what is current. He maybe got older and lost his cool. But the subject of film in connection with just about everything else has never left. His single book on film noir more or less pinpointed the section of film history that most interested him. He likes the black and white classics filled with cigarette smoke and characters whose motives are not always above board. Perhaps this is the filter or lens through which he sees films today. He prefers dramas and documentaries. The serious side is his vocation. In the films he chooses to watch, he likes to look around the edges to find what he thinks might also be going on. That is, in addition to what is obvious. His goal in working for the Examiner is to get others to be a bit suspicious, too. Sometimes films are just for fun and relaxation. But just as often, they lead the mind into any number of Kafkaesque realms from which there is no going back. Richardson has long since left New York. He now favors the slow lane in Albuquerque (no relation to the Governor). Men's clothing in general is simple and so are the types of shoes for men. But that doesn't mean that men's shoes are less stylish and there is only a small variety available. In fact there are many types of shoes available for men ranging from formal to casual to athletic. These shoes come in different designs and are made of many different materials. Below given are popular types of shoes for men: Dress Shoes Dress shoes are designed specifically for formal wear and as the name suggests, are worn with a dress suit. Mostly dress shoes for men are made of either leather or suede and are mostly black, brown or gray in color. Dress shoes are simple and may or may not have laces. A black pair of dress shoes is a must for every man's wardrobe as they pretty much go along with dress suits of all colors. Mostly they are worn under dress suits on events such as funerals, weddings, formal dinners and formal parties. Some common types of men dress shoes include: loafers, oxfords, slip on and wing tips. While choosing a pair of dress shoes one must be careful to choose the most versatile and stylish pair of shoes as they are a very important element of men's formal attire. Sport ShoesThese shoes, as the name suggests are the shoes made specifically for sports. These are special shoes which are worn by professional sports players and athletes. But apart from these people common men should also have a pair of such shoes for walking and participating in occasional sports activities as almost all men love to play some kind of outdoor sport. Sport shoes are highly durable and strong shoes which have a really nice grip on the foot. There is a large variety of sport shoes which are made specifically for different types of sports. For example soccer shoes which have spikes underneath the outer sole allowing the athlete to have a firm grip with the ground. Of all the other types of sport shoes running shoes are the most versatile as they are ideal for running and can be used on tracks or on gym floors. SandalsSandals are another very popular and commonly used type of shoes for men. Unlike the above mentioned types which completely cover the foot, these shoes are open from the front and are more casual. Sandals have one or more straps on the top which join the both sides of the shoe. One of the strap runs around the ankle to cover the back of the foot. Sandals are also called summer shoes as they are very comfortable and ideal to be worn during the summers. Sandals go best with shorts and jeans. Another name for sandals is beach shoes as they are the most convenient form of foot wear on a beach. Sandals are very comfortable to wear and are quite versatile of all the the different types of men's shoes, as they come in various styles and designs. They are also a must have in every man's wardrobe. SneakersSneakers are mostly popular among young boys and teenagers. These are very trendy and casual looking shoes which cover the entire foot and have laces which are long and run towards the end of the shoe. Sneakers are made of fabric and are white at the toe while the sides can be blue, black or of any other color. Sneakers are ideal to be worn with jeans and come under the category of casual shoes. They can be worn on parties, lunches, normal gathering or as daily casual footwear. Sneakers are the coolest of all the above mentioned types of shoes. BootsBoots are yet another famous type of men's shoes. Boots can be both formal and informal and are stronger and durable than dress shoes. Basically boots are made for men working in tough terrains as they are made with high strength material and keeping durability in mind. Boots can be worn with jeans on many occasions, whether on work or not. A large variety boots is available in the market but generally all boots are either made of leather or suede and are always laced. Common types of boots include: the famous cowboy boots, ankle boots, work boots and heavy lace up boots. Where as work boots are the strongest boots made exclusively for outdoor labor, ankle boots and heavy lace up boots are perfect for hiking and camping. Due to their durability boots are ideal for any sort of an out door activity.
