London radio listeners, hour by hourBy Tony Moorey posted August 24, 2012. See all Tony Moorey's articlesWhilst a radio brand's reach is often the first figure reported on by press and its total hours are the most significant statistic for a commercial team, as a programmer the real key data point is market share and the latest RAJAR results present us at Absolute Radio with a fascinating story in London. The biggest radio market in the UK is now incredibly closely contested and one look at the all important half hour shares demonstrates that any of six radio brands could grab the 15+ share lead. Overall there is just seven tenths of a percent between the top five commercial radio brands in London, with Heart at 5.3%, Magic at 5.1%, Absolute Radio at 4.9%, Kiss at 4.7% and Capital at 4.6%. It was a different picture just six months ago, with Capital clearly ahead as memory of Johnny Vaughan's final quarter commanded a share of over 8% at 8am, whereas Dave and Lisa now manage just over 6% at the same point and the pack, led by Christian O'Connell is closing in. As we can see from the graph though, Capital deserves congratulations for a strong performance on the school run home, still managing to take the lead between 3 and 4pm even though the station is only 5th in the market overall. Despite Capital's am and pm peaks, it is Heart and Magic that demonstrate the power of longer hours with strong daytime performances winning them the top two places in the market including a lead for the Bauer brand across the mid morning daypart. Things change fairly dramatically at 4pm, with the Absolute Radio brand the first to pull clear of the pack with a clear market lead across the end of daytime, through pm drive and into early evening in what was a strong quarter for Geoff Lloyd topped off by a stellar performance by Ian Wright and the Rock n Roll Football team's FM and digital coverage of Euro 2012. If you slice the brand into single stations, Absolute Radio itself also leads the market in the second half of Hometime. Following on from our lead is a powerful performance from Heart 106.2 across mid evening, with share scores around double what we normally see for the station in this daypart. This is the only daypart the market leader tops and it will be interesting to see if they can hold onto this post 8pm advantage. It is also worth looking what effect it has on Heart's position in London if their edge across evenings turns out to be either a reaction against the live football commentary carried on three stations in this period, or merely a reporting anomaly. Kiss rounds out the day with a typically healthy score for its later evening programming. It is always worth keeping Talk Sport in the picture despite such a surprisingly low key performance in a quarter which included the climax of the Barclays Premier League and Euro 2012 as the station switching to all sport. London is not their heartland however and they're sure to be hoping for a comeback after slipping below the significant 3m reach and 20m hours markers. This slide shows the London market across all adult males and it's clear to see how Heart, Magic, Kiss and Capital's share is largely female based. The Absolute Radio brand meanwhile takes a clear lead, heading the London market from 10am to 10pm and peaking mid afternoon with more than twice the share of any of our competitors. Whilst our digital radio services play a strong part in this success, Absolute Radio as an individual station heads the pack from 2pm to 9pm. The closeness of the market overall is the story of the quarter though, with so little separating five brands from three groups, the commercial top spot in London is within reach of any of them. Compound that with the disruptive effect of London 2012 and a new Radio 1 breakfast show, the next RAJAR should be intriguing. If you want to use the railroad ties as a border for a landscape centerpiece or a flower bed, you have two options. You can lay the ties flat so they run along the border of the landscape. For circular landscapes such as front yard centerpieces, cut the ties into smaller pieces to create a nice looking circle. Another option is to cut the ties into 2 foot and 2 1/2 foot sections. Dig holes into the ground and set the ties in so they are facing vertically. Alternate the sizes for a staggered look. Just make sure that you have at least half to one foot of the ties in the ground for stability. My sister has an 8 year old, and even she has uttered the phrase, didn have that when my daughter was a baby. try to buy for functionality, but you still have no idea what that means until you gone through several strollers, several highchairs, and so on. We have no less than five strollers. We use one of those regularly, but it is too bulky to use in tighter fitting situations, like a crowded aquarium, airport, or restaurant. This is where the Swift Strollerby Inglesina comes in. It small and compact, with features that you would want in an umbrella stroller, but with a lot of high end features as well. It folds down tightly, and weighs only 13 pounds. My favorite features on it include the large, easy to get to storage basket underneath, and the large canopy overhead. It also has a 4 position reclining seat, which definitely comes in handy when the little ones take an impromptu nap. Next up is the Zuma Highchair. This full sized highchair is not only fully functional, but it is super stylish! It is so easy to fold down that we do it in between all meals, and not just at the end of the day. It folds down to the size of a folding chair. It has an 8 position adjustable height, and a 3 position reclining seat. I love the fact that this highchair has wheels on it. Being pregnant, the last thing I want to do is lug a highchair all over the place, but it pushes around with ease. One other feature I really liked about this chair was how easy it is to get C in and out of it. You don have to take the tray completely off to get your little one in and out. I very impressed with the design of it. Last up is the Fast Table Chair. This little piece of equipment comes in handy in placesthat are oblivious to child patrons. In your home, it is a super convenient, space saving, easy to use chair for your tot. Outside of the home, it creates a seat in restaurants where no highchair exists. I gone to coffee shops that didn have a highchair, if I had this in the car, I wouldn have to juggle a scalding hot cup of coffee and a toddler at the same time. This also works well when you visit friends who don have kids. I plan to take this down to Mexico with me in a few months so that C doesn have to eat her meals while strapped into a stroller. Check out Inglesina online, on Facebook, and follow them on Twitterto check out more of their awesome baby gear. Nike Kobe 9 Low EM XDR Red Black,Your body dictates your golfing ability. There's no way around it. If you're fit, chances are you'll play better golf. If you're not fit, chances are you'll play poorly. While you should stay in shape all year round, the winter is great for starting a golf specific fitness program. Regardless of age, gender, or playing level, participating consistently in a golf specific exercise program pays dividends in your game and in your life. Flexibly is a key to a consistent golf swing. Recreational golfers often lack the flexibility to perform swing mechanics correctly. Instead, they compensate for it by making adjustments in their swing. They risk hitting a bad shot and injuring themselves. Adding flexibility exercises to your winter workout improves your swing mechanics and your shot execution. The Lunge with a Twist Exercise combines the power in your lower body with the core rotational movement needed for maximum golf swing speed and distance. Use a medicine ball or a single dumbbell for this exercise. Assume a standing position with your arms straight and hanging down in front of you, holding the dumbbell or the medicine ball. As you step forward with one leg, rotate your upper body to the same side holding the medicine ball or the dumbbell chest high the whole time. Return to the starting position and do the opposite leg. Repeat each side 10 times for 3 sets. This exercise improves rotational range of motion and strength. It also strengthens the core area of your body. The Seated Twist is an offshoot of this exercise. Instead of standing and lunging forward, you simply twist from side to side while sitting on a chair and holding a dumbbell chest high. This exercise can be done in your office. The Straight Leg Rotational Hamstring Stretch stretches the hamstrings, hips, lower back, and mid section. It trains the hamstrings, glutes, hips, lower back, obliques, and upper back muscles. 1. Begin by placing feet shoulder width apart, extend arms overhead, and clasp hands together. Turn so that you are facing to one side. 2. Slowly extend arms toward the top of your shoes, keeping your legs straight. 3. Extend downward to your level of tolerance, pause slightly, and return to the starting position. 4. Rotate torso, shoulders, head, and arms to the other side. 5. Slowly extend arms toward your shoes, keeping your legs straight. 6. Reach downward to your own level of tolerance, pause slightly, and return to the starting position. 7. Return to the other side and repeat the same sequence, then return to the center position. 8. Perform 15 to 25 repetitions. Yoga is also a good exercise for enhancing flexibility. PGA pro Jamie Mulligan includes Bikram Yoga in his conditioning program. Bikram Yoga involves making precise movements for 90 minutes in a superheated room. It keeps the body loose and supple, and strengthens concentration and focusResistance training should be part of your winter conditioning program. When you improve strength, you improve control and balance. Also, strength training involves body awareness, muscular control, and coordination all key elements for improved golf. When you do resistance training, you increase blood flow through a functional range of motion, and strengthen the tendons and ligaments in you body's joints. In conjunction with a stretching program, strength training improves flexibility, not hinders it. The strength for golf commponent of your program addresses your body's "core" area the abs, low back, and hamstrings. Contrary to popular belief, weight training does not cause you to lose "feel." A golf specific conditioning program incorporates moderate weight, with medium (12 15) repetitions, and in a time frame of 30 45 minutes. This type of program is designed to improve your golf specific strength and endurance, not build muscle. A typical strength training exercise includes The Tire Exercise is a different type of resistance exercise. Invented by golfing great Henry Cotton, this simple exercise strengthens the arm and wrist muscles and helps you judge swing speed. Take your normal stance with the tire positioned as the ball. Employing a normal grip use a quarter swing to hit the back of the tire, moving the club head as fast as possible. The pitch of the swishing noise and the sound of the club's impact are your speed indicators. The loudest crack at impact is heard when the clubhead is released properly. Do 3 sets of 15 to 20 swings. Then turnaround and do it from the left side.

So she stepped up and delivered. The Grade 12 forward for the Oak Park Raiders, who was sidelined for a few critical minutes in the fourth quarter of Monday's MHSAA 4A varsity girls championship final. And her return sparked a mini Raiders run and led Oak Park to a 71 65 win over the Glenlawn Lions at the Investors Group Athletic Centre. MacLennan was named MVP and finished with a team high 28 points but was off the floor with a leg cramp as the Lions trimmed a double digit lead down to just a few points in the final seconds. Glenlawn eventually pulled even at 63 on a Jasmine Ibrahim three but it was MacLennan who clutched up a minute later with the game tied 65 65 and hit a baseline jumper with a minute to go that snapped the tie and got the Raiders over the top on their way to their first provincial title since 2004. "I knew our team was going to pull it out in the end, but . I knew it was going to come down to (a few) points," MacLennan said. "When I was sitting down at the edge and I saw the game was getting closer the therapist just told me to relax, I could NOT relax when my team is out there." MacLennan and the Raiders rarely gave 6 foot 5 Glenlawn post Emily Potter much in the way of breathing room, but the Utah bound senior still managed 30 points in her final high school game before going off to the NCAA. "When you play Glenlawn you know you're never comfortable," Raiders head coach Murray Brown said. "It doesn't matter what the score is, they're gonna take a shot at us and they sure did. Our kids had to dig down. They tied the score, but we got back to what we want to do all the time and that's push after a score. They hit that three to tie the game and then four seconds later we're back in the lead. So we tried to stay true to our philosophy." The Raiders used a 16 4 run midway through the second quarter en route to a 36 26 advantage at halftime. Oak Park stretched that lead to 14 early in the third before the Lions made a run of their own. Glenlawn scored 12 of the next 16 points to get the deficit down to two at 46 44 just before the end of the third. After Oak Park delivered what looked like it would be a decisive blow by once again getting the lead to double digits early in the fourth at 58 47, the Lions had a reply of their own by way of a 16 5 run that was capped by Ibrahim's triple. But then came MacClennan's cue. She found herself open for a 15 footer on the baseline and cashed it in then, after the Raiders were unable to get a score on their next possession clinging to a two point lead, she came up with a key steal with 24 seconds left that allowed the Raiders to ice the game at the free throw line. Ibrahim finished with 15 points on the night. "I knew from the beginning, when I get on my court I make sure that every shot counts," she said. "I had it open, I had time to think about it, I knew it was time to release and it was now or never. I took the chance and I'm glad I did." Potter was named an all star along with teammate Laura McManes. Miles Mac's Susie Namgung, Sisler's Zeralyn Panesa and Oak Park guard Jenilyn Monton were also named all stars. Kerilynn MacLennan couldn't see the scoreboard from where she was sitting. She just knew she was needed. So she stepped up and delivered. Nike Kobe 9 Low EM XDR Red Black When many people think of show size, they think of just one thing the number. Yet, this numerical representation only corresponds to the length of the shoe, and not all people's feet are the same width in proportion to the length. This is where shoe widths come into the picture, represented by letters that come after the numbered size. If you want to measure your shoe width, you don't need the special foot measuring tool that they have at shoe stores. All you need is something to write with, a ruler and paper. Step 8:Use the width measurement to find out your shoe width from a chart. This will be represented by a letter. Use the right chart for your gender. For women, a AA width is narrow, B is medium and C is wide. For men, C is narrow, D is medium and E is wide. Sometimes, shoes manufacturers will simply use N for narrow, M for medium and W for wide instead of following the usual shoe width conventions. Depending on your shoe size, the classification your show width measurement falls into will vary. For example a man with a 4.1 inch width who wears a size 11 shoe has a shoe width of D, or medium, whereas a man with a 4.1 inch width who wears a size 13 shoe has a shoe width of C, or narrow.
