Oil Your BootsApplying thin coats of oil to your boots can moisturize the leather and soften the boots. There are numerous types of leather oils, but one of the most common is mink oil. Readily available at almost any shoe store, mink oil will have your boots feeling soft in no time. Just apply a small amount to a rag or cotton cloth and rub it in firmly but gently. Don't rub too hard, or you may rub off some of the leather's coloring. Also, be aware that mink oil may darken the color of your boots a bit, so try a small amount on a less visible piece of the boot before coating the whole thing. Condition Your BootsIn addition to mink oil, there are numerous leather conditioners on the market that will both soften and preserve your boots. Many have added chemicals to waterproof your boots. State, Maryland, Illinois, Boston College The skinny: Originally committed to Vanderbilt in July, Brosnan flipped to Penn State a few days after James Franklin took over in January, committing to the Lions before setting foot on campus. Like most of the five former Commodores recruits, Brosnan cited his close relationship with Franklin and his staff as the reason for the switch. Brosnan also represents the staff efforts at Vanderbit to create a pipeline into the Chicagoland area for recruiting with Rahne leading the charge there. Brosnan is something of a late bloomer, getting a late growth spurt to develop into a potential future left tackle. State, UConn, West Virginia The skinny: The 25th and final member of the class, Brown was a Southern Miss commit until Penn State offered in the final stretch. The slot opened up this week when Lloyd Tubman, who had originally flipped from Vanderbilt to Penn State, decommitted. Tubman ultimately signed with Kentucky and Brown was the beneficiary, serving as Penn State lone signing day surprise. Brown had been recruited previously by Franklin staff at Vanderbilt, but he signed without actually visiting Penn State. Like Tubman, Brown can project as either a defensive end or linebacker. The Lions have him tagged as a lineman to start off. But when Penn State swooped in with a last minute schlolarship offer on Monday, Campbell immediately pounced on it. Campbell signs with the Lions despite having never visited campus in large part because James Franklin and his staff knew him well when they were still at Vanderbilt. Bob Shoop sometimes utilized a safety/linebacker hybrid position called at Vandy, and Farmer would look to be an ideal fit should Shoop install it at Penn State. Farmer is looking to go into pre med and his work in the classroom had Harvard and Yale recruiting him as well. The Junior Everblades will host teams in the Mite through Midget divisions. Air Jordan 6 Rings Black Varsity Royal A West Scranton woman who turned herself in to police the morning after hitting a pedestrian with her car on Luzerne Street was charged Friday. Amanda Strickland, 21, 355 N. Tuesday that the man flew over her vehicle before landing unconscious in the street, witnesses told police, according to a criminal complaint. Mr. Cherry suffered a hairline fracture to his left eye socket, a cut to his face and scrapes on other parts of his body in the crash, which left him unconscious and bleeding on Luzerne Street as Ms. Strickland sped off, according to the complaint. After Ms. Strickland gave officers her car keys to take the vehicle in for evidence, officers discovered damage on the car's front end and passenger side of the windshield, along with what appeared to be blood, the complaint said. Scranton police Capt. Carl Graziano said Ms. Strickland will be charged by summons with accidents involving death or personal injury, duty to give information and render aid and required financial responsibility. Ms. Strickland's insurance policy had been canceled before Tuesday's crash, according to the complaint.
